Challenge 1: One New Name
Challenge: Learn the name of one person you don’t already know. It could be a neighbor, cashier, librarian, fellow hiker, or someone you see regularly.
Remember: Technology can help you get there. Maybe you found a local event online or discovered a new coffee shop through a map app. The goal isn’t avoiding technology—it’s making a real-world connection.
Share: Tell us who you met (first name only if appropriate), where you met them, and one thing you enjoyed about the conversation.
Challenge 2: Walk with Wonder
Challenge: Go for a 20–30 minute walk and notice something you’ve never paid attention to before. Or share a memory of something the walk reminded you of from your past.
Remember: Want to listen to a favorite podcast or some music while you walk? Go for it! If the podcast inspires a new idea or helps you appreciate your surroundings, even better. The destination is the walk—not the screen.
Share: Post a photo or write a few sentences about something you discovered along the way.
Challenge 3: Make Something
Challenge: Spend at least 30 minutes creating something with your hands. Bake bread, sketch, knit, garden, repair something, paint, journal, or try a new craft.
Remember: Need a YouTube tutorial, recipe, or pattern to get started? That’s exactly what technology is great for. Learn online, then close the device and enjoy the satisfaction of making something yourself.
Share: Show us what you made and tell us what inspired you to give it a try.
